Chelsea Music Festival celebrates its 15th season with nine evenings of concerts, conversation, and tastings.

Lux Quartet, co-led by pianist Myra Melford and drummer Allison Miller, is proud to present its eponymous debut: a glowing musical encounter with Dayna Stephens (saxophones) and Scott Colley (bass). The program features original compositions by all four band members, exploring philosophical and spiritual themes through the language of jazz. The name Lux Quartet was inspired by the role of light in the diversity of life on Earth.

Jazz at Princeton University, helmed by acclaimed saxophonist/composer Rudresh Mahanthappa, presents the annual Princeton University Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 15. The festival features Artemis, Jazz at Princeton's chair Rudresh Mahanthappa and his Bird Calls ensemble, jazz greats playing with Princeton's exceptional student groups, and the legendary Rufus Reid with the Creative Large Ensemble.

Marilyn Maye rang in the 2023 New Year's with a weekend of Holiday shows in the Birdland Theater just down the street from Times Square. As the ball dropped, the toasts went up and the songs poured out. With 4 nights of shows, from Dec 29th to Jan 1st (7 shows in all), she provided a proper musical CHEERS to the NYC audience. Amazing Maye!

NEA Jazz Master Ron Carter is celebrating the month of October at Birdland Jazz Club. Carter returns to the classic venue for his annual month-long residency, with ten shows weekly through October 29. On Thursday evenings, second sets (9:30 PM EST) will be live-streamed via Flymachine.

Since Wynton Marsalis played the first note at the Grand Opening on September 30, 2012, The Nash has become the epicenter for the greatest jazz moments in the Valley of the Sun. Virtually every top jazz artist has journeyed to Phoenix, from legends to rising stars, in order to perform at the downtown club named in honor of drummer Lewis Nash. 

Ray Brown (1926-2002), a proud native son of Pittsburgh, was one of the founding fathers of modern jazz bass. So it's only fitting that the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (PIJF) presents Ron Carter Foursight, Buster Williams & Something More, and Stanley Clarke N 4Ever – three lords of the lower frequencies.
