Following a sell out run at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival, Maurice's Jubilee will go on a national tour from January 2013. This is Olivier Award winning Nichola McAuliffe's most recent play and she will reprise her role as Katie, alongside Olivier Award winning Julian Glover (Maurice) and Sheila Reid* (Helena). Maurice's Jubilee is directed by multiple Fringe First winner Hannah Eidinow and has design by Christopher Richardson.

La Jolla Playhouse today announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming musical The Nightingale, by the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening: Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music). Directed by Tony Award nominee Moises Kaufman (33 Variations, I Am My Own Wife), the production runs July 10 - August 5, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. The Nightingale is presented as part of the Playhouse's Page To Stage Play Development Program.

According to a report on Deadline.com, newly hired X FACTOR judge Britney Spears walked off the set of the FOX singing competition during the very first taping of the show's Season 2. According to the report, the dramatic exit was the result of a contestant 'butchering' one of the pop singer's songs.
