Bluegrass Gospel Project Comes to Town Hall Theater Tonight, 8/17

Since its inception in 2001, The Bluegrass Gospel Project has become "one of New England's premier concert acts" (Seven Days). The group comes to Middlebury's Town Hall Theater for a concert tonight, August 17 at 8:00 pm.


Alex Cuba's New Album to Be Released This October, August Tour Announced

With exceptional artistic integrity and independence, the Cuban-Canadian artist Alex Cuba has achieved a remarkable level of success. He makes a genre- and nationality-defying music, runs his own record label from a town 14 hours outside Vancouver, and won both the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album, in addition to a heap of critical acclaim, for his most recent album. On his own Caracol Records imprint, he will release the follow-up, Ruido en el Sistema, this October. The first Spanish-language single, "Eres Tu," will be available on August 7, following the release of the English-language version, "Are You," this past April.


Flobots Announce US Tour, New Album Out 8/28

The socio-political activists and high-energy musicians of FLOBOTS have announced a national tour surrounding the release of their newest album, The Circle In The Square (Shanachie Records/release date: August 28, 2012). Kicking off on September 14, 2012 in Missoula, MT, the tour sees the powerhouse of a band playing cities across the US throughout September and October before returning to their hometown of Denver, CO to close out the run (tour dates below).


Autobiography of Legendary Jazz Composer Irving Fields Now Available

'The Pianos I Have Known: The Autobiography Of Irving Fields' was released this past week. Collaboratively written between 94 year old Irving Fields and Huffington Post sports and music columnist Tony Sachs and edited/released by music critic Aaron Joy through his indie book publishing and music label Roman Midnight Music.
