Iridium Jazz Club (1650 Broadway at 51st St.) hosts bassist and composer Buster Williams and hishis Something More ensemble from August 6th to 8th. Sets begin at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and feature a $25 cover charge. The presentation of flamenco and jazz is entitled 'Spanish Sun - Flamenco Rising', with Mark Gross on saxophone, Eric Reed on piano, Ignacio Berroa on drums, and special guest Adam del Monte on flamenco guitar.

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park announces that the Fred Rogers Family Series will not be scheduled on its 2010-2011 Season. For the 2010-2011 Season, the Society has developed a partnership with the quartet Brooklyn Rider, A Gift for Music, and Orange County Public Schools to create a unique music residency, bringing high-quality classical music to nearly 700 young music students this year. Brooklyn Rider is well known for its collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma on his Silk Road Project.

Smokey Robinson makes his Hollywood Bowl debut on July 14th at 8pm. Celebrating his 50th anniversary in the music business, Robinson will perform songs from his latest CD Time Flies When You're Having Fun, to be released August 25th. As well, he'ss perform such signature hits such as 'Tears of a Clown,' 'Tracks of My Tears,' 'I Second That Emotion,' and more. Jazz singer/songwriter Lizz Wright sets the tone for the evening with songs from her soulful repertoire.
