ZEDD Named MTV's 2013 'Artist to Watch'

Germany's EDM marvel Zedd is proving why he was selected as an MTV Artist to Watch in 2013 with the release of his latest video "Clarity" Ft. Foxes out today. Check out the premiere of the official video for "Clarity" here: http://on.mtv.com/13jcOlS

The video for the album's title track, which premiered today on MTV, MTV-Hits, mtvU & MTV.com is directed by Jodeb (Cypress Hill, Porter Robinson, Deftones) and a blend of chaotic and explosive abstract visuals melded with towering sand dunes, vast caverns and American muscle cars. Combined with Zedd's soaring melodies and meticulously crafted compositions, the video creates an emotionally engaging experience that encapsulates the viewer. "Clarity", the title track from Zedd's chart topping debut LP, hit #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart and had the biggest first week for a dance artist's album in the last 10 years. The album, which dropped in October, was propelled to ubiquity by the Matthew Koma-assisted lead cut "Spectrum" which soared to #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Song chart and was named their Dance Club Song of the year as well as iTunes "Breakthrough Album of the Year (Dance) for 2012.

Zedd recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman where he turned his signature Style upside down performing a stripped down version of "Clarity" showcasing his classical training by playing piano alongside a string quartet and vox from Foxes. The performance is a prime Example of Zedd's true musicianship beyond the realm of EDM.

With so many accolades already, Zedd will be hard NOT to watch in 2013 and beyond as he continues his Worldwide tour, blazing through the U.S. in February and March. Check out all dates below- more to come.
