Communion, the most reliable source for breaking artists, has announced details of its upcoming August show at Union Hall in Park Slope, Brooklyn. On August 2, fans will enjoy one of the best lineups yet, with sets by Communion co-founder Ben Lovett as DJ; Vacationer (Downtown Records); esteemed pianist/songwriter/producer Aaron Embry and; Caleb Hawley, a diverse singer/songwriter who has shared the stage with industry greats such as Mark Cohn, Rusted Root, Dave Matthews Band, Shawn Mullins and Edwin McCain. Embry will also accompany Lovett and his band, Mumford & Sons, at their sold-out show in Hoboken on August 1.
After the success of their debut U.S. tour, which had stops at the Redwoods in Big Sur and in several cities during The Austin to Boston Tour, Communion is proud to confirm its ongoing monthly residencies in Brooklyn, San Francisco and now Nashville, which had a sell-out launch in June. The event features a different lineup each time, offering up-and-coming, developing and well-known artists a creative platform to perform in a unique environment that celebrates collaboration and community support.
