Trent Reznor to Write New Music For Nine Inch Nails Compilation

Trent Reznor, acclaimed film composer and NINE INCH NAILS musician, has officially announced he "intends to contribute" two new songs to the upcoming NAILS collection, The New Yorker originally reported. In addition, Reznor is set to write new, original music for his own forthcoming album. He also confirmed he will be partnering with Dr. Dre for an upcoming music streaming project tentatively entitled 'Daisy.'

'Daisy' is poised, according to Reznor, to be more user-friendly that other streaming radio stations such as Spotify or Pandora.

"Here's 16 million licensed pieces of music,' they've said, but you're not stumbling into anything," Reznor told The New Yorker.. "What's missing is a system that adds a layer of intelligent curation . . . As great as it is to have all this information bombarding you, there's a real value in trusted filters. It's like having your own guy when you go into the record store, who knows what you like but can also point you down some paths you wouldn't necessarily have encountered."

Reznor also told Rolling Stone last summer that he was still currently working on new pieces for NINE INCH NAILS.

Reznor told Rolling Stone in July that he was working on new Nine Inch Nails material. "Yeah, there will be new music," he said. "There are some things in the works."
