Richard Nader's 60's Rock & Roll Welcomes The Association, Loving Spoonful and The Vogues to Mesa, 12/15

Richard Nader's 60's Rock & Roll, the famed concert Production Company, brings a lineup of three classic groups from the 1960's on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 8p.m. in the Ikeda Theater. The evening will showcase more than 20 hit songs from the 1960's Billboard Top 40 from the bands The Association, Loving Spoonful, and The Vogues.

All three bands still include several of the original members and will present such popular hits as The Association's "Windy", "Cherish", and "Never My Love"; The Loving Spoonful's "Do You Believe in Magic", "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice", and "Summer in the City"; and The Vogues' "Five O'Clock World" and "Turn-Around and Look at Me". There will also be a special guest, the band Time and Time Again.

The Association is a soft folk rock band out of California and during the 1960's they created seven hits that were at or near the top of the Billboard charts. The original touring members of The Association include Russ Giguere, Jim Yester, Jules Gary Alexander, and Larry Ramos. The Association's other top 40 hits are "Along Came Mary" and "Everything That Touches You". Loving Spoonful is a pop rock band that was originally formed in New York. Their original touring members are Jerry Yester, Steve Boone, and Joe Butler. Loving Spoonful is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they achieved 10 Billboard Top 40 hits in the 60's. Their other well-known songs include "Rain on the Roof" and "Nashville Cats". The Vogues are an American vocal group from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. They will be performing with original members Hugh Geyer and Bill Burkett. The Vogues had eight Top 40 hits, some of which include "You're The One", "My Special Angel", "Magic Town", "The Land of Milk and Honey", and "Till' 'No Not Much".

This amazing line-up will no doubt set the evening on fire with numerous hits from the 1960's and send audiences back in time. With the bands armed with their original touring members, there is sure to be satisfaction for fans that so loved these performers and have continued to be fans since the 1960's. The audience will also enjoy the reunion between brothers Jim Yester and Jerry Yester. Jim Yester, an original member of Loving Spoonful, and Jerry Yester, who joined The Association in 1967, will perform together at this special event.
