Miri Ben-Ari Announces THE BEAUTIFUL SOUND TOUR

Critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning violinist and producer, Miri Ben-Ari, launches 'The Beautiful Sound Tour' atThe Gramercy Theatre in New York on February 20th. Ben-Ari is known world-wide as a musical pioneer as every phrase of her unique sound -- a revolutionary fusion of classical, jazz, R&B and hip hop -- is a storied experience of her Origins in Israel, life in New York City, and career that includes a string of honors. Miri has been named one of 25 "Remarkable Women" in 2011 by First Lady Michelle Obama, an "Apollo Legend"by the famed Apollo Theatre in New York City, is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nation Associations for Brazil, and is a recipient of theMLK Community Service Award by Al Sharpton's National Action Network.

A classically trained violinist, who studied under the late classical master Isaac Stern, Ben-Ari has helped sell millions of records by collaborating with other Grammy Award-winning artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z, Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys, Wynton Marsalis, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Patti Labelle, Brandy, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson and John Legend. Her captivating, show-stopping music earned her the moniker "The Hip Hop Violinist," which is also the title of her latest album on Universal Records; and has resonated with audiences around the world including performances at Aventura's "Sold Out at Madison Square Garden" concert, VH1's "Save The Music" Gala at Lincoln Center, "Fashion Rocks"and Viacom's "Dream Concert" at Radio City Music Hall; on "Sesame Street;" for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign; and at theMartin Luther King Jr. Presidential memorial dedication in Washington, DC.

More recently, media icon Yue-Sai Kan invited Ben-Ari to give a special performance during "Miss Universe China" in Beijing, a live broadcast to millions of people. Miri has been the face of many marketing campaigns including Reebok's "I Am What I Am" (global, print and television);Vodafone; BET's Black History Month special (appearing in a Jimi Hendrix PSA); Pepsi; Coca-Cola; and now, Harman Kardon; (products include headphones and home theatre systems). Most notably, however, Ben-Ari loves to give back to the community. She has supported different charitable organizations such as UNICEF, FIBA (Fellowship of Israel and Black America), Phoenix House, NRB Convention (National Religious Broadcasters), Aglow, the Jewish Federation, Russell Simmons' Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, the Emery Awards, and countless others. Ben-Ari is the founder, chairman, and spokesperson for "Gedenk" (meaning "remember" in Yiddish), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and Education about the Jewish Holocaust to the youth.

Ben-Ari is continuously recognized as a young role model as her numerous international accolades include "International Jewish Woman To Watch of 2007 Award," "2008 Israel Film Festival Visionary Award," the American Society for Yad Vashem Award, "Young & Powerful for Obama" 2011 Rising Star Award, the "Martin Luther King Award" from Israeli President Shimon Peres, and the "2012 Big Vision Awards."
