Their first CD release in 2002, "Scatter" received high praise from Bass Player Magazine complimenting "three masterful and eccentric-sounding musicians" who "push and pull each other across the boundaries of classical, jazz, fusion, and avant-garde."
In June 2012, Manring Kassin Darter released their second CD "Riverrun" a 2-disc release, which features an entire 2-set (100 min.) live concert. "Riverrun" explores each of their award-winning compositional styles, and their influences which range from Brazilian to jazz, rock, impressionist, funk, to "Bartok-jazz", tango, calypso, 12-tone compositions, bent ragtime and Balinese gamelan.
Manring Kassin Darter's unique bass, flute, piano extemporaneous "jazz chamber fusion music" format highlights a stylistic tearing down of musical walls. Echoes of jazz, rock, classical, folk, avant-garde and world music is evidence of their refusal to have music that is compartmentalized into any one genre. Listeners will applaud with delight while experiencing "the world's most sophisticated jam-band"!
