Who needs Glee when you can have some fresh Aires!? The Dartmouth Aires, runners-up from the last season of NBC's The Sing-Off, are charismatic crooners who harmonize original arrangements of popular tunes from the past and present. And they feature Portland's own Michael Odokara-Okigbo (who also happens to be the Mugadi Foundation's founder).
The Mugadi Foundation is bringing the Dartmouth Aires to the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine, for a performance on Sunday, June 17, 2012 - Father's Day. The concert, which will feature the Boy Singers of Maine, begins at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $12 for children/students with IDs. They are now available through PorTIX at www.porttix.com or (207) 842-0800.
Proceeds from the concert go to support the Greater Portland Festival of Nations, the Boy Singers of Maine, and the Mugadi Foundation's latest project, which will provide educational and living expenses to underprivileged children in Ethiopia.
