Louis Prima Jr. Returns to LA in September

In a nod to his beloved hometown where he lives and performs, Louis Prima Jr.'s (www.louisprimajr.com) lively and clever new promo video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqzKwIZW65w) urges people to "Explore Your Inner Vegas." But in September, the beloved entertainer-who recently released his debut album Return of the Wildest!-will be taking his explosive act across the desert for some high profile appearances in the Los Angeles area.

First up is a coveted live performance with Prima Jr. and his wild band The Witnesses featuring Sarah Spiegel on the hit entertainment show "Access Hollywood" on Tuesday, September 11. They are one of the only music acts to ever perform on the show, thanks to a new format the producers are exploring. Check local listings for time/channel.

Prima Jr., the son of legendary singer and bandleader Louis Prima, then makes a highly anticipated late September stop in Hollywood at the Precious Cheese Feast of San Gennaro, Los Angeles. Just like the 80-plus year old New York City tradition, the event-launched by some of L.A.'s most prominent Italian-Americans in 2002-is a celebration of Italian culture, food and entertainment featuring live music, street performers, strolling musicians, a kid's corner and many rides and games.

The younger Prima and his band are set to headline the VIP-only, celeb-filled Prima Notte Opening Night Fundraising Gala on Thursday, September 27, followed by a performance for fans on Friday, September 28. These festivities are hosted by Jimmy Kimmel (chairman of the Precious Cheese Feast of San Gennaro) and Adam Carolla.

The group will perform at the World Famous Malibu Inn on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at 9 p.m. on Saturday evening, September 29.

Return of the Wildest! is Prima Jr.'s independent debut CD distributed by Warrior Records/Universal Music Distribution. The album was also featured on AOL Music's CD Listening Party.
