Live @ Benaroya Hall Adds Shows to First Season; Flatlanders, Aaron Neville On Sale Now

On the heels of Live @ Benaroya Hall's successful inaugural performance with Dwight Yoakam, they have expanded the eclectic offerings of their stellar first season by adding two more intimate music concerts: The Flatlanders on October 9, 2012 and Aaron Neville on February 19 and 20, 2013. The Flatlanders are celebrating their 40th anniversary and the release of their recently discovered missing Odessa Tapes. Aaron Neville will release a new album, My True Story, just three weeks prior to his two Seattle concerts in Benaroya's cozy 500-seat Recital Hall. Tickets to The Flatlanders and Aaron Neville concerts are on sale now.

Contemporary Folk Singer Suzanne Vega, who burst onto the music scene in 1985 with "Luka" will also make a stop at Benaroya Hall on February 5, 2013. Tickets to that concert go on sale Saturday October 6 at 10am.

More information about concerts through February 2013 is below. In addition to these concerts, more (including ukulele phenom Jake Shimabukuro Monterey Jazz and Chicano super-group Los Lobos in 2013) are listed at www.benaroyahall.org. The season continues through June of 2013. Information on additional shows will be released as it becomes available.

Prices vary for all concerts. Tickets to all concerts are available at www.benaroyahall.org or by calling 206-215-4747. The Benaroya Hall Ticket Office is on the corner of Third Avenue and Union Street. Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am–6 pm and Saturday, 1 pm–6 pm.

http://www.theflatlanders.com/
October 9, 7:30pm - Tickets $39
Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall
Amid successful solo careers, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock have reunited again and again, for almost 40 years, as the not-really-a-band, life-of-its-own musical entity known as The Flatlanders. They first got together in Lubbock, Texas in 1972. Their work on the 1998 soundtrack to the film "The Horse WhispererL was well received and they went on to release "Now Again," "Wheels of Fortune," and "Hills and Valleys." In honor of their 40th Anniversary, these 'founding fathers of Americana' will release the "Odessa Tapes," an album composed of recently discovered very early recordings that were believed lost.
Live @ Benaroya Hall Country concerts are generously underwritten by an anonymous donor.
