Joe Pug Offers No-fee Tickets for Spring '11 tour

It all started with mailing free sampler CDs to fans, which Joe Pug still does on his website-and yes, he even paid the postage. Next, Pug decided to give away his In the Meantime EP for free. Then, Pug embarked on his "$10 Tour" last fall, bypassing many of those nasty service charges and "convenience fees."

The $10 Tour ultimately turned out to be a huge, fan-friendly success. So much so, Pug was able to continue his no-fee ticketing practices onto this Spring's upcoming tour.

"Now, it's still not perfect," Pug admits. "We're only allowed a small number of tickets for most of the shows, but we're constantly working with promoters and venues to expand the number of tickets we can offer up with no fees. If all goes well on this first national rollout, we should be in a good position to offer a larger number of tickets for the fall tour."
