Backed by a six- piece band and the Aontas Choir, the four woman ensemble draws from a repertoire that encompasses Irish standards to timeless pop anthems and inspirational songs. Consisting of members Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, Susan McFadden and Máiréad Nesbitt, their sixth CD/DVD, "Believe," was released in January 2012. It was filmed for the first time in America at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in September 2011. Their holiday album, "Home for Christmas," was released in October 2012.
Since their American debut in March 2005, Celtic Woman has dominated the adult contemporary music scene with two Top 10 album debuts on the Billboard Top 200, three Gold and Platinum albums, four Top 5 releases on the Billboard Top Video chart and over 2.2 million concert tickets sold. Their 2006 Christmas concert, "Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration," and their 2010 Emmy-nominated "Celtic Woman–Songs From the Heart" were both broadcast locally on Twin Cities Public Television. Their recent special, "Believe" will air locally next spring. All eight Celtic Woman album releases have debuted at #1 on the Billboard World Music Charts. They also appeared on the CBS daytime drama "The Bold and the Beautiful" in November 2012, performing two songs, "The Parting Glass" and "Danny Boy." The group will perform in Minneapolis as part of an international tour with stops in more than 70 cities including Toronto, Baltimore, Seattle and Vancouver.
