Hellogoodbye Signs with Old Friends Records; New Album Set for April 2013 Release

Old Friends Records, a new, alternative/indie rock label via RED distribution, has announced its very first signing with Huntington Beach, CA's Hellogoodbye. The band is currently in the studio with multi-Grammy Award winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, The White Stripes, Strokes, My Morning Jacket, Jason Mraz), recording a new full-length studio album slated for an April 2013 release. In the meantime, on December 18th Old Friends Records will re-issue the band's second full-length studio album Would It Kill You? as a digital deluxe edition, featuring three live tracks from Daytrotter's Barnstormer Tour and the previously unreleased B-Side "Not Ever Coming Home." In addition, the band is set to play a special holiday show on November 29th at New York City's Webster Hall's Marlin Room, and fans can expect more dates to be announced as details of their forthcoming album are revealed.

Originally formed in 2001 by singer Forrest Kline, Hellogoodbye spent a couple of years playing West Coast and Southwest shows before releasing their self-titled debut EP in 2004.

Hellogoodbye led to the band's first North American tours. Just two years later, the band signed to Drive-Thru Records and released their first full-length album Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!. Numerous tours and festivals followed, including appearances at Warped Tour, Bamboozle's main stage, and Reading and Leeds in the UK. Their debut album went on to sell 400,000 copies and also produced the now platinum hit single "Here (In Your Arms)," which in 2007 found its way into the Top 20 on the Hot 100 and Top 10 on Pop Radio, earning the band their first ever national TV appearances with performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Last Call with Carson Daly.
