German Producer/Songwriter/DJ ZEDD Releases First Album

German EDM producer/DJ/songwriter, Zedd, is set to release his full-length debut album today October 2nd on iTunes as a one-week exclusive before releasing wide to all retail partners on October 9th. Check out the new track "Clarity" as iTunes 'Free Single of the Week'. The album also includes the wildly popular track "Spectrum" Feat. Matthew Koma, which held the #1 spot on Beatport for 18 days and hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club chart. The album was recorded over an 8-month period from January through August 2012, and features collaborations with Ellie Goulding, Ryan Tedder and Foxes. Today also sees the premiere of Zedd's new video for the track "Stache" directed by Roboto.

Having already toured with Lady Gaga on her "Born This Way Ball' tour, Skrillex and Deadmau5 among others, Zedd joins fellow artist and friend, Porter Robinson for their Poseidon Tour this fall. The Poseidon Tour which kicked off September 20th at Philadelphia's Starlight Ballroom, features both Zedd and Porter playing back-to-back tracks, alternating throughout the night. The New York Times proclaims, "his talent is extraordinary." Zedd has separated himself in a crowded field by drawing from a diverse musical training and background spanning from classical to post-hardcore/metal to electro house in order to make meticulously detailed and carefully produced compositions.

Zedd first made waves with a series of well-received remixes of tracks by Skrillex, The Black Eyed Peas, Fatboy Slim, and Lady Gaga. He has appeared at numerous festivals including Coachella, Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and Hard Summer, and is confirmed to appear at Creamfields and Electric Zoo in New York.
