Biffy Clyro Album Debuts at #1 in the UK

Breakthrough rock band Biffy Clyro has claimed the top spot on the UK charts with their new album Opposites. The band's sixth release and first #1 debut sold over 70,000 copies, almost double what the #2 album sold. Opposites is set for US release March 12th.

The Scottish trio will embark on a UK headline arena tour before bringing Opposites to US audiences live this spring with performances at Coachella and an opening spot on Muse's nationwide headline run. The nine April dates include two nights at New York City's Madison Square Garden, full dates are below. Biffy has also just been announced as main stage headliners at the Reading and Leeds festivals later this year.

Produced by GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers) in Los Angeles, CA, Opposites has already received overwhelming critical praise. "Opposites is a vastly original, exquisitely-produced, fully-realised and creatively outstanding piece of work," declared Kerrang! The first single off Opposites, "Black Chandelier," which Billboard called a "sure-fire Worldwide smash" was just added at Sirius XM's Alt Nation and is impacting Modern Rock radio today. Fans can download "Black Chandelier" instantly when they pre-order the album, and it is also available as a single on iTunes.
