Adele, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and More Among Nov 2012's RIAA Diamond, Gold and Platinum Winners

Adele's "21" earned Diamond decoration, while Taylor Swift's new album "Red" reached triple-Platinum in only one month, and a variety of country, rock, and pop acts also took top metal awards, according to the November tally of Gold & Platinum certifications released today on the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA's) G&P Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GoldandPlatinum).

Colossal congratulations to Adele for earning a prestigious RIAA Diamond certification marking more than 10 million "21" albums sold in the United States. Not only did Adele go Diamond, the Columbia/XL Records jewel also became the first artist in a decade to do so in less than two years! Adele further added to her bling in November by certifying her James Bond theme song "Skyfall" Gold.

With October release "Red" Taylor Swift has earned her fastest rise yet to 3x multi-Platinum success. The good news comes on the heels that 2x multi-Platinum track "We Are Never Getting Back Together" has been nominated for GRAMMY Record of The Year! Taylor's career album certifications now surpass 15 million sold across five separate records.

Brand new holiday albums from crowned country stars Scotty McCreery and Blake Shelton, "Christmas with Scotty McCreery" (Mercury/19/Interscope) and "Cheers It's Christmas" (Warner Bros.) respectively, turned RIAA Gold in November. To boot, "Merry Christmas, Baby" (Verve) procured Rod Stewart a Platinum in just one month.

The month's top RIAA song certification –6x multi-Platinum– was awarded to Carly Rae Jepsen for her ubiquitous track "Call Me Maybe." The 6x multi-Platinum honor has only been awarded to 10 digital songs in RIAA G&P history.
