Abingdon Theatre Company – the producer of over 77 new American plays during its 20-year history – launches its new family theatre program, the POP UP PLAYHOUSE with a one-time special concert by MyKaZoo/Universal Music recording artist Barry G along with Erin the Red of the acclaimed Dream Jam Band. The live concert featuring songs from Barry G's brand new family album, "Huh Uh," as well as some earlier favorites, will kick-off the POP UP PLAYHOUSE season today, November 10 at 11am in Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street).
Barry G's (Barry Gellert) guitar virtuosity is one of the engines that drive the acclaimed Dream Jam Band and his singing and songwriting are joyous elements in its fabric. Barry G has toured across the country performing at festivals including Kidzapalooza, Taste of Chicago and venues including Cleveland's Playhouse Theater and Steamboat Springs.
Erin the Red (Erin Hill) is a singer, songwriter, and actress who has performed both on stage, television and in various films. She has appeared on the "Chappelle's Show" "The Chris Rock Show;" and was in the original cast of TITANIC, Sam Mendes' CABARET, and URINETOWN on Broadway. She plays harp, bass, piano, guitar, sax, flute, fiddle, accordion, and drums, among other instruments.
Barry G newly released his album, "Huh Uh" on MyKazoo Music a division of Universal Music Enterprises.
